ISO 14001 – Environment

ISO 14001 is the standard for environmental management. Using an environmental management system in accordance with this ISO 14001 standard means that the environmental risks of the company's operations can be controlled and where possible reduced. This makes the ISO 14001 an indispensable tool for companies that are involved in environmental activities.

The most important element of the standard is the risk analysis for environmental aspects. This analysis assesses the environmental risks for all types of contamination. The identified control measures are then incorporated in an EHS project plan. The elaboration of an environmental management system needs to be adjusted to suit the nature, scope and complexity of the organization.

At Schotte this environmental management is expressed by identifying every environmental aspect in the entire organization. Subsequently specific control measures can be formulated.
